Book a beauty appointment with clear expectations

A clear service description makes a useful comparison. A photograph or a high rating cannot explain what is included in your appointment.

Compare like with like

Beauty salons can list several services under one profile. A category such as beauty, nails or hair does not confirm that a specific service is available at every branch or with every member of staff. Before comparing prices, write down the service you want and ask each business to describe what its quote includes.

For a hair appointment, ask whether consultation, washing, drying and finishing are included. For a nail appointment, check whether removal of an existing product is a separate service. For a facial, ask for the name and scope of the appointment rather than assuming that two packages with similar names are equivalent. These are booking questions, not recommendations of products or procedures.

Know who and where you are booking

Confirm the branch address and the person or team providing the service. The business may use a shared building, an appointment-only studio or a separate entrance. A directory profile does not verify a practitioner's training or professional status. If a qualification matters to your decision, ask the business how you can independently check it.

Ask before paying a deposit

  1. What is the full price, including required additions or removal services?
  2. How much time should I allow, including any consultation?
  3. Does the business require a separate appointment or preparation beforehand?
  4. Can I discuss products, preferences and any questions directly with the provider?
  5. When is the deposit refundable, and what happens if the appointment changes?

Do not use an online category or an imported review as a medical safety assessment. Questions about a health condition, reaction or treatment suitability belong with an appropriately qualified professional. G4Well's purpose is to help you identify and contact businesses, not to assess procedures.

Use photographs in context

A saved photograph may help you recognise a location or understand how the business presents itself. It is not proof of current staff, services, results or availability. Likewise, review counts and ratings reflect a saved source record rather than reviews collected by G4Well. Treat the comparison table as a way to organise questions, then confirm the appointment directly.

About this guide
